Child-centred Family Justice Fund - Pilot Projects Component

Objectives

The objective of the Pilot Project component of the Fund is to promote the development, implementation, and evaluation of innovative pilot projects serving families undergoing separation and/or divorce.

Activities

The activities under this component of the Fund correspond, but are not limited, to the following Primary Areas of Activity (supported more extensively by the Family Justice Initiatives component):

  • Development, delivery, enhancement and expansion of innovative family justice programs and services;
  • Development, delivery and enhancement of dispute resolution mechanisms to determine, vary or recalculate child support amounts; and,
  • Development, enhancement and delivery of innovative support enforcement activities.

Who is eligible?

Provincial and territorial departments, agencies, or other organizations designated by provincial and territorial governments as responsible for child support, the enforcement of support orders and agreements and parenting arrangement programs and services are eligible to apply for contribution funding under the Pilot Projects Component.

How to Apply

Proposals are developed by provincial and territorial partners and submitted to the Department of Justice Canada for approval. The Department of Justice's Programs Branch has developed a Funding Guide that helps you prepare an application for funding. The guide provides you with eligibility criteria, information about the application process, an application form, and a glossary of terms.
