Part VII of the Official Languages Act (OLA) and, more precisely Section 41 thereof, sets out the commitment of all federal departments and agencies to enhancing the vitality of official-language minority communities, as well as fostering the full recognition and use of both English and French in Canadian society. The Office of La Francophonie, Justice in Official Languages and Legal Dualism has the mandate to coordinate the implementation of Section 41 within the Department of Justice.
