Essential Qualifications
- By the time of appointment the candidate must have completed two years of law school at a Canadian university or registered with the National Committee on Accreditation who reasonably expects and is scheduled to commence articling in 2013.
- Good cumulative average in law school. For purposes of this process, "Good" is defined as a minimum cumulative average of B.
- Knowledge of the work of the Ontario Regional Office of the Department of Justice
- Ability to analyse legal issues
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Effective interpersonal skills
- Interest in a public service career with the Department of Justice
- Interest in a litigation practice
- Good judgment
- Language proficiency: English essential
Operational Requirements
- Candidates must be flexible with respect to hours of work, lunch breaks and rest periods.
- Candidates will be required to travel occasionally.
